CS PUSHES DATES FOR SCHOOL REOPENING AFTER MIDTERM.

Learners across Secondary and Primary Schools are at home for a short holiday of Term Two. This mid term holiday will expire on Friday as learners are expected to reopen starting Monday 3rd July where they will be expected to be in school for five weeks.

However, parents and learners who were planning to transfer have received a big blow after the government banned mid-year school transfers for secondary school learners.

Parents will now have to wait up to the end of year before they can transfer their children to other public schools. Many of them had planned to transfer their children due to various reasons amongst them inability to pay fee, climatic condition and so on.

Also, parents are expected experience high fees at Secondary fees as Heads of these institutions are planning to raise school fees due to delayed government disbursement. Increase in fee could be more hurting to parents considering the high cost of living in the country.
