AZIMIO PROTEST IN NAIROBI CBD AFTER READING OF THE BUDGET

Barely media reports indicated that the Azimio One Kenya Coalition led by Raila Odinga is expected to announce its Parallel Budget at a time when the government led by Treasury and finance CS Hon Njuguna Ndungu will be reading the next 2023/2024 budget in the Parliament, a group of police officers (possibly) drawn from anti-protests unit of GSU has been deployed in various Parts of the Nairobi CBD including the Parliament.

According to a video clip seen by this writer, the police truck full of uniformed and armed officers is seen making it’s way to the Parliament road where the officers will be deployed even as plain clothes police officers can also be seen coordinating with other to prevent any form of violence.

Also, the development comes minutes after Nairobi Senator Hon Edwin Sifuna while making his way out of the Senate assured supporters that Raila was having a crucial meeting with his allies. He said that they should wait for the next signals.
