OOH NO! POLENI SANA

President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda was reported to have contacted the Corona Virus and had been isolating for the past few days as per the reports that we have with us.

The Ugandan President did not even attend Heroes Day that was held a few days ago where distinguished guests from across the world came for the celebrations.

Earlier on today, unconfirmed reports emerged that the President of Uganda had been confined to the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in the country as the corona was proving to be too much for the aging Head of State.

This evening, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, he has dispelled these reports by issuing a statement.

President Yoweri Museveni has said that the Corona is mild and there is no cause for worry as he will be alright in the next few days as he is taking all the necessary steps in being safe.

Here is the statement from President Museveni, “It is now just day 5 of my corona virus status. Last night, I slept very well up to the tenth hour of the night (saa kumi za usiku –what the Europeans call 4am). This time, the dull headache was not there fortunately, nor was the mild throbbing (enkuratima) that was on top of the head (oruhoora-hoore).

Again, I want to advise all of you to get fully vaccinated against corona and the elderly should get the boosters.”
