RUTO REFUSES TO PAY JUDGES

The Chief Justice Martha Koome has affirmed that it’s extremely embarrassing that the government has refused to pay allowances to judges in the last six months. She is clear that despite judges delivering on their duties, they have not gotten their money.

Martha Koome is clear that president William Ruto promised to support judges financially but that’s not happening.

She is clear that the judges have lacked morale due to frustrations by the state. Martha Koome is also clear that threats on judges has increased in the last six months and it’s not clear of where Kenya is headed to.

Martha Koome has asked Kenyans to stand up and defend the rights of judges more so their allowances. It’s clear to her that what she expected of Ruto’s Government has changed drastically and judges are just being treated with contempt.

The Chief Justice Martha Koome has warned that if government refuses to pay allowances to judges, this might course closure of some courts. She is firm that judges move around to hear cases and they must be facilitated financially if they must deliver Justice.
