SENATOR SIFUNA RESIGNS?

Kenyans on Twitter have ganged up against Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna after saying the following about the Senate.

According to his latest post, Sifuna was defending himself on the reason why some of them have not been attending the senate meetings.

In his statement he accused the Kenya Kwanza senators for pretending to be busy with motions while they had voted against increased allocation to Counties.

He further noted that there was no serious business being transacted at the Senate because it is dead according to him.

Sifuna was replying to a tweet by Mzalendo watch where it was noted through the chair of the Senate that a number of sitting senators had been skipping the meetings therefore failing to be involved in moving motions in the Senate.

Kenyans however ganged up against Sifuna pushing him to resign from the position and to stop receiving salary if he is unable to represent the County. Below are some of their comments.

Geoffrey Wageni, “If Senate is dead, resign. There is no need for your to continue drawing salary from a dead institution.”
