FUEL PRICE INCREASED TO THIS AMOUNT.

Kenyans will yet again suffer after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) made an announcement regarding the retail price of fuel in Kenya.

According to the latest fuel price review released on March 14, 2023, EPRA stated that the cost of diesel and kerosene per litre in Nairobi will remain unchanged at Ksh.162.00 and Ksh.145.94 respectively. However, the price of super petrol will increase by Ksh.2 to Ksh.179.20 per litre in Nairobi.

EPRA explained that the price of diesel has been cross-subsidized with that of super petrol, while a subsidy of Ksh.23.49 per litre has been maintained for kerosene in order to cushion consumers from the otherwise high prices.

This move is expected to have an impact on Kenyan consumers who rely on fuel for their daily activities.

The new prices will come into effect from March 15, 2023, and will be valid until April 14, 2023. This news will likely be received with mixed reactions from the public, especially those who rely heavily on fuel for their livelihoods.

However, it remains to be seen how the market will respond to this change in fuel prices, and what effect it will have on the overall economy.
