DP GACHAGUA UNDRESSED IN PUBLIC

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has narrated how police officers sent to arrest him harassed and undressed him as his wife and sons watched.

Rigathi, who claimed that the more than 50 police officers who stormed his home had been sent by former president Uhuru Kenyatta, said they dehumanised him during the ordeal.

Speaking earlier today at Uasin Gishu county, where he attended a thanksgiving service, the DP said he had decided to forgive the law enforcers even though they also took pictures of him after humiliating him.

” I have even forgiven those 50 police officers that Uhuru sent to my home and who took off all my clothes as my wife and sons watched.

They even called all my workers to see me without clothes and also took pictures of me. But, I forgive them,” he said.

In his speech, Rigathi, however, asked police officers to refrain from fighting political wars on behalf of their bosses.

“Sometimes I feel like winning the election is just a dream. However, I wake up each morning and find out that Ruto is the president, and I am the DP.

I find that those police officers who were being sent to arrest me are now outside my door; waiting to escort as I go about my daily business,” he said.
