The leading presidential contenders are Eyes are Deputy President William Ruto vying on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party’s Raila Odinga.

Other candidates in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta are George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party and David Mwaure, who is flying the Agano Party flag.

With five days to the August 9 General Election, Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has thrown his weight behind Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party rival Raila Odinga.

Addressing his supporters in a nightclub, Wajackoyah said he supports Raila, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader because he is among people who pushed for the second liberation of Kenya.

“Because of that, man (Raila). The man whose tears come out every day because of what happened to him in jail, including myself. I am here to join liberators. And the person I look at, the person who makes me stand here is none other Raila Odinga,” Wajackoya said.
