MIGUNA MIGUNA’S BIG PROMISE TO RAILA ODINGA

Canadian exiled Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has promised to treat Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila Odinga to a sumptuous dinner if he wins the presidency in the forthcoming August 9 General polls.

Miguna the straight-talking lawyer said he would take the ODM leader out to Canada’s ‘most expensive restaurant’ if he beats his closest rival William Ruto of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) for dinner.

Miguna on the other hand said that if DP Ruto wins, he would buy him dinner in the most expensive restaurant in Canada.

“A PACT with my best friend: If @WilliamsRuto wins on August 9th, he will treat me to a sumptuous dinner at the most expensive restaurant in Canada. If @RailaOdinga wins, I’ll treat him to a sumptuous dinner at the most expensive restaurant in Canada,” he tweeted on Wednesday, May 25.

The former National Resistance Movement is a fierce critic of Raila Odinga but has a soft spot for the second in Command.

Last year in September, the lawyer claimed the deputy president would beat the former prime minister hands down in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya.

The self-styled lawyer said DP Ruto would win the poll by 10 am in the morning in the highly anticipated duel.

“I’ve never been wrong on political strategy. That’s why Moi forced me into exile in 1987 and @RailaOdinga begged me to advise him in 2006 and 2017. That’s why Uhuru Kenyatta is so scared of me that he issued red alerts. Get this: @WilliamsRuto will defeat Raila at 10 am,” he opined.

Early in January, the Canadian political activist vowed to sell all his properties in Kenya and renounce his Kenyan citizenship should Raila win the presidency in the August general elections.

Miguna Miguna, who fell out with the former prime minister after the mock swearing-in in January 2018, said he does not want Raila to win the top seat in August.

The barrister got Kenyans talking on social media after declaring he would sell all his assets in Kenya and formally abandon his Kenyan citizenship too.

“If Raila Odinga becomes president of Kenya, I’ll sell all my property there and renounce my citizenship,” he said.
