MUSALIA AND RUTO STEAL FROM SPEAKER JB MUTURI

National Assembly Speaker, Justin Bedan Njoka Muturi, has accused Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Deputy President William Ruto of stealing his political slogan.

Speaking in Nyamira on Sunday, January 30, Muturi revealed that he was the first person to use the ‘Kenya Kwanza’ phrase and was disappointed to see Mudavadi and Ruto using it as they traverse the country.

He dismissed their partnership as one founded on deceit, wondering what would happen to the state resources if a simple slogan could be stolen.

“They have said they have launched the Kenya Kwanza Alliance. If you happened to use Thika Road three months ago, you must have seen my billboard with the signature phrase ‘Kenya Kwanza’.

“Even a small thing like a phrase can be stolen? If you want to take that one then I’ll use ‘Wakenya Kwanza’ and ‘Wakenya Mbele’, don’t steal these ones though,” he remarked.

Muturi also called out that leaders who were going around the country accusing others of being corrupt yet their hands were also dirty.

“People who are in government are labelling their friends as thieves when they get away from them. If you know they are thieves and you have been associating with them aren’t you also a thief?” he posed.

The presidential hopeful also drummed up support for his presidential bid and asked people to elect him to the top seat because he understands the issues the country is facing and had their interests at heart.

Muturi officially launched his presidential bid on Saturday, July 3, 2021, in a meeting attended by clergy drawn from the Pentecostal churches in Embu County.

“I’m very clear in my mind that with your support, with your prayers we will be able to clinch that top seat,” Muturi stated.

He further urged Kenyans to consider him equal to other top politicians aiming to lead the country.
