HAS AISHA JUMWA DUMPED WILLIAM RUTO?

Malindi member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has finally addressed the media after Kenyans raised suspicions after they noticed she has been missing on DP Ruto’s recent rallies and events.

Jumwa who defected from ODM and joined Ruto’s UDA clarified she has not joined Raila’s Azimio as reports are suggesting.

Earlier on Friday, reports online indicated the coast leader had initiated plans to return to ODM after a rumored fallout with DP Ruto.

However, Aisha has calmed the situation stating that she is still in UDA and is not even thinking of changing her stand. She vowed she would never ditch Ruto for Raila no matter what.

She further revealed that the reason she has been missing on DP Ruto’s campaigns and events is only a personal decision. Further she stated that she is only relaxing at home and addressing her people from Kilifi.

“I have been at home relaxing and I want to address my people, from Kilifi. I am a leader who is solid and I am not easily pushed or shaken. I am inside UDA as one of the founders of the party,” the Malindi MP stated.

The last public event she attended alongside Ruto was in Eldoret in early January. She has so far been missing in Ruto’s western tours as well as MT Kenya region tour.

Jumwa is considered one of Ruto’s fierce supporters from Coast Kenya and has on several occasions stated she will only support DP Ruto in the upcoming 2022 general elections.
