Pole Sana Raila Odinga. DP William Ruto Captures Back Mt Kenya

The political season is officially on in Kenya with all eyes on 2022. Many politicians are fighting for their survival as MCAs, MPs, Governors, Senators and Women Reps. The presidential race is also going to be tough for Deputy president William Ruto and Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga because they are seen to be two horse race.

Deputy President William Ruto is currently organizing a massive gathering at the Eldoret Sports Club. Thousands of citizens, as well as tens of leaders and candidates, have already shown up.

Now, the Kikuyu Council of Elders, who were present at DP Ruto’ s Eldoret rally, have stated that they support him in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The elders, led by Kinyanjui, said that the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto assured peace between the two communities.

He also stated that the Mount Kenya region supports DP Ruto as a thank you for supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 and 2017 elections.

” We are here to tell William Samoei Ruto that we are behind him. We thank him for rallying behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in the last general elections, ” elder Kinyanjui said.

Both handshake leader Raila Odinga and Ruto man from Sugoi are fighting over Mt Kenya votes, they are also eyeing for running mate from the region so that they will gain popularity.

Currently Raila have come up with a new agenda of Azimio La Umoja aftet Building Bridges Initiative was trashed by high court and court of appeal.

Ruto is enjoying massive support of Member of parliament from the region and other prominent leaders from the region while opposition leader Raila Odinga is enjoying the support from his handshake partner Uhuru Kenyatta,

Mt Kenya foundation and Mt Kenya governors like Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi, Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi, Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui, Nyandarua governor Francis Kimemia and Nairobi governor Ann Kananu.
