LIST OF SENATORS EYEING GUBERNATORIAL POSITIONS IN 2022

Each election cycle comes bearing its gifts. From these elections we are expected see new breeds of politicians across the different electoral positions we have.

This is also the time for political parties to come and up to now, at least over 80 political parties have been fully registered and cleared for elections by the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties.

This season also marks the time for politicians to go for higher seats, some, just to fulfill their ambitions and others to serve their people better.

For the 2022 general elections, there are more than 20 governors who will be retiring from the positions they hold currently, thanks to the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Their retiring has however, opened doors for current serving senators, some on their first term and others on their second terms. They all want to be the county bosses.

With politics, this might come to pass for some of them while others might have to face stronger candidates; including incumbents who enjoy the support of county of officials have resources from the counties.

Some of these senators have served patiently for two terms waiting on the incumbents to leave office so that they can give their shots at the gubernatorial races, and the time is here for the many of them.

Challynews wishes them the best!

It is also important to note that this is not a conclusive list as many others are expected to declare that they will be vying for governor in the coming weeks.
