BREAKING NEWS! MPESA SHUT DOWN.

Several Kenyans are currently stranded after failing to transfer money from their bank accounts to their MPESA wallets.

According to several reports on social media, there is a glitch that is affecting bank transfer to MPESA.

The glitch has affected major banks including; Equity, KCB and ABSA Bank.

KCB sent a message to its clients, informing them that there was a problem affecting transfer of funds from the bank and purchase of MPESA float.

NCBA also asked a customer to bear with the current outage.

“We are currently experiencing failures in NCBA Loop to M-PESA transfers, and the inconvenience caused is truly regretted. Kindly bear with us as we work towards a speedy resolution,” NCBA said.

Equity Bank revealed that they were working to solve a problem affecting transfer of funds ot MPESA.

“Hello, We currently have a challenge with Funds transfer from the account to Mpesa via M-banking channels and which is being addressed. We regret any inconvenience cause,” Equity said in a statement.

“We regret that we are currently experiencing intermittency affecting our service delivery. Our technical team is working to restore the services as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” reads a message from Standard Chartered to its clients.
