Fuliza is a mobile overdraft service offered by telecommunications giant Safaricom in partnership with NCBA Bank. There are some subtle differences between Fuliza and other types of mobile lenders which include among the following:

1. You can only access Fuliza if you have exhausted your Mpesa balance. For example, if you wanted to pay goods worth Sh 2,000 and you have Sh 2,500 in your Mpesa account you cannot access Fuliza.

2. You cannot withdraw Fuliza cash. Unlike other lenders where you can withdraw the loan, in Fuliza you can only transfer it to another number be it personal or business account.

3. Fuliza is deducted directly from your Mpesa. Unlike other mobile loan facilities, you do not pay Fuliza to a specific Paybill number. It is deducted automatically when you receive any amount on your Safaricom line.

Steps to buy credit using Fuliza

1. Go to Sim Toolkit

2. Select Mpesa

3. Go to Lipa na Mpesa

4. Choose Paybill option

5. Enter Paybill Number 737373

6. Enter the phone number you want credit airtime

7. You will get prompts to Fuliza the amount if you do not have enough Mpesa balance.

8. Enter your Mpesa Pin

9. You will get a notification that your request has been successful.
