RAILA ODINGA AND GIDEON MOI IN PRIVATE DISCUSSIONS UHURU’S BROTHER

In what might be a very confusing move, Gideon Moi and Uhuru’s brother Muhoho Kenyatta have today visited and held discussions with Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his home in Karen.

Odinga is said to have been angling to form a union with the Deputy President William Ruto as a way of reacting to insinuations that President Uhuru prefers Moi’s son for the 2022 presidential elections.

Political pundits will be left wondering what might be Uhuru and Raila’s move following his move to host Gideon who really works hard to revive KANU and form coalitions with heavyweights in the political field.

Over the past few weeks, the Baringo senator has been working closely with Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi, all who are former allies of Raila Odinga.

Now though, it seems that ANC led by Musalia Mudavadi is distancing itself from being labeled as a state sponsored party, this shown by their various moves in openly opposing some of the policies being implemented by the government.

The latest meeting between Raila and the young Moi coupled up with the Presence of Muhoho Kenyatta points to another new formation in the offing. Many will read this as having Uhuru Kenyatta’s blessings having been reported that the President has been trying to deflate the Move by Raila and Ruto to unite.

Gideon Moi noted that the meeting was just meant to check on Raila Odinga’s recovery process from COVID-19.

“I am deeply impressed by The Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga’s quick and steady recovery; a clear indication of his resilience even in the face of adversity. We wish him good health, long life and boundless joy as one of our country’s foremost patriots”, reads Moi’s statement.

Raila’s ODM party has said that it is working on a fresh coalition that will deliver the top seat to them in 2022. The party’s secretary general dismissed the union between Gideon Moi and Musalia Mudavadi as that of lightweights focusing on being endorsed rather going it alone to face Kenyans.

In a move seen to be marrying that of William Ruto, ODM party insists that all the other coalitions and parties are tribal based and their leaders are tribal chiefs.

Gideon on the other hand is working very hard to disposes from the firm grip of William Ruto, the vote-rich Rift valley.
