MP Evicted From His Kileleshwa Home

A popular politician has suffered as a victim of eviction. Former Nominated MP Hassan Noor has revealed the challenges his family is facing regarding the eviction from their Kileleshwa home.

Accusing a senior Kenya Kwanza politician and a parastatal head of collaboration to forcefully remove them, Noor highlighted police involvement despite having a valid court order protecting them.

Addressing the press on Tuesday, Noor asserted, “We have a valid lease which has not expired. The matter in contention here is this parcel of land located in Kileleshwa, Kandara Road. This matter is in court.

The (parastatals) managing director has deliberately ignored valid court orders.” Despite obtaining a court injunction, Noor claimed that illegal eviction attempts persist, even involving assaults on family members, including his mother.

He expressed frustration with senior police officers allegedly supporting this illegality, suggesting political interference hindered proper investigations.

Noor’s situation draws parallels with recent property disputes involving political figures, such as the conflict between Aldai MP Marianne Kitany and Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi.

Amid these challenges, Noor emphasized the urgency of addressing the issue, shedding light on a larger problem within the community. The account raises questions about the rule of law, the role of political figures in land disputes, and the vulnerability of individuals facing eviction despite legal protections.

This situation echoes broader concerns about the misuse of power and highlights the need for a comprehensive examination of property rights, legal processes, and the influence of political figures in such disputes. As Noor’s family confronts these challenges, their experience reflects a larger pattern of property-related conflicts in the region.
