Sakaja Speaks on Joining Azimio

Governor Johnson Sakaja remains resolute in his commitment to serving the people of Nairobi, undeterred by intimidation or threats, regardless of tribal or political affiliations.

In an interview with KTN News on December 30, Governor Sakaja acknowledged facing significant pressure to favor certain individuals in fulfilling pre-election promises but asserted that such pressures won’t influence his decisions.

A prominent figure within the UDA, Sakaja clarified that he has no intentions of joining the Opposition.

Addressing speculations about a potential move to the Azimio-One Kenya Coalition, he cautioned those anticipating such a shift to brace themselves for a surprise.

Governor Sakaja emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities for everyone in Nairobi to serve under his leadership and benefit from the development projects initiated during his tenure.

However, amidst the discourse, Sakaja specifically mentioned Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua, advising Kenyans to be wary of fake news and propaganda aimed at creating a false narrative.

He dismissed claims that he receives instructions from Gachagua, asserting that the Deputy President is an intelligent leader who understands his role and has no inclination to micromanage the leadership of Nairobi County.

The governor’s strong stance reflects his commitment to impartial governance, free from external influences. He urged the public to rely on credible sources and not be swayed by misinformation propagated by those with ulterior motives.
