Forceful Removal of Ruto From Power Predicted

Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, a prominent Kenyan figure, has ominously forecasted challenging times ahead for President William Ruto, envisioning a potential revolution against Ruto’s administration.

Mutunga, displeased with Ruto’s governance, draws parallels between Ruto’s approach and the actions of former President Daniel Moi, anticipating a popular uprising in rejection of Ruto’s policies.

Citing concerns over foreign domination, exploitation, oppression, and perceived attacks on Kenya’s sovereignty, Mutunga criticizes Ruto for what he sees as insufficient efforts to fully implement the 2010 constitution.

According to Mutunga, Ruto’s actions echo those of past leaders, particularly Moi, and could provoke a significant public reaction.

Mutunga’s prophecy extends to a post-revolution scenario, envisioning the emergence of a fresh cadre of leaders who, in his view, will rectify the perceived wrongs.

He implies a transformative shift in leadership as a consequence of the anticipated revolution, suggesting that the aftermath will pave the way for a new group of leaders committed to adhering to constitutional principles.

In essence, Mutunga’s critique revolves around a fear that Ruto’s governance mirrors problematic aspects of Kenya’s past, potentially provoking widespread discontent.

The prophecy encapsulates a vision of change, wherein a revolution acts as a catalyst for a reformation of leadership and a renewed commitment to constitutional ideals.

As surely as I see an uprising in Kenya on the horizon I can also see such an alternative political leadership on the horizon. That is my prophecy,” he wrote in The Star on Wednesday.

“In both periods we have witnessed foreign domination, exploitation, oppression, and attacks on our sovereignty as a people. We remain in a slave plantation called Kenya where the national rulers or agents are what Malcolm X famously called “house niggers.”

He stated that therefore, the people in power, who are out to ensure that Moi’s 100-year KANU rule prediction is fulfilled, should know that things will soon change and a better team will take over.

“They should know there will be in this country a national democratic revolution under the leadership of a political leadership that is, at a minimum, anti-imperialism and anti-comprador bourgeoisie. The latter rule the country as agents of the latter,” he said.

His prediction comes days after a similar prediction was made by former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando Wa Kabando.
