List of 33 WhatsApp Groups Govt Has Banned Teachers From Joining

The government has flagged off multiple social media groups and channels which are claimed to have been used by scammers and teachers to leak fake examination materials.

As relayed by a report covered on Sunday’s standard publication, Teacher’s Service commission chair Nancy Macharia has noted that any teacher found in the said groups will be punished.

The groups are 33 in total and are claimed to have been formed this year in an attempt of peddling lies about this years national examinations which will kick off tomorrow.

” Inscription persons have started sharing or publishing fake documents purporting to be examination materials. The government has flagged the attacked social media platforms disseminating fake examination materials “, the report intimates.

This comes as the country is preparing to administer Kenya Certificate of Primary education, Kenyan Secondary Certificate of Education and so on.

Apparently, teachers are therefore advised to keep away from the saif groups on Facebook, Twitter, Telegraph and other channels.

On the other side, president William Ruto is planning to introduce new fee structure for schools across the country as per the recommendations made by the ad-hoc committee on education reforms.

The move however sparked sharp reactions from Kenyans online and it would be good to see how president William Ruto’s government will initiate it literally aftet promising cheap education to kenyans.
