Politician Behind Chaos That Forced Raila to Flee Turkana Event

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who left the agitated crowd at the Turkana Festival without addressing them, has now disclosed the source of the witnessed chaos.

According to reports reaching Challyhnews, Odinga has accused the State House of playing a role in the disturbances during the event.

Odinga boldly asserted that he does not require anyone’s permission to visit Turkana, emphasizing that the region had strongly supported him in past elections. He also pointed out that the current Governor of the county had been elected on an ODM (Orange Democratic Movement) ticket.

His statement followed his abrupt departure from the event, prompted by Turkana Central Member of Parliament instructing the crowd to reconvene in the evening for a session focusing on Turkana Tourism.

It’s worth noting that President William Ruto had attended the event the previous day, accompanied by some of his political allies. During the festival, the region’s Governor openly shifted his allegiance from Azimio la Umoja, part of the One Kenya Coalition, to Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza movement.

This political turbulence adds a layer of complexity to the already charged atmosphere surrounding the event.

Present yesterday were Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, DAP Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa, Jubilee’s party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, former Agriculture cabinet secretary Peter Munya, Roots party leader George Wajackoyah and many others.
