Ndindi Nyoro Buys More Shares at Kenya Power

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has bought Sh5.2 million more shares in Kenya Power strengthening his position as the largest individual owner in the power transmission company.

His current ownership is valued at Sh48.75 million.

The vocal politician raised his holding in the firm to 32.5 million shares, which is an equivalent of nearly 1.67 percent stake in the utility, at the end of June 2023 compared with 27.29 million in the same month last year.

Kenya Power is one of high yielding companies at NSE since it has a near monopoly in the market.

It is partly owned by the government and the private sector. In June, President William Ruto’s cabinet allowed for the private sector to be part of the Kenya Power board.
