Raila Makes Major Changes on Today’s Vigil Event

Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition via ODM on 26th resurfaced online with a bold message to kenyans ahead of planned vigil today.

Speaking via their official twitter handle, the camp maintained that today Kenyans will be holding a vigil to those who lost their lives as a result of police brutality during anti-government demonstrations.

According o the outfit, the peaceful demonstrations against high cost of living and punitive taxes turned violent by police officers.

As a result, they have called on kenyans to light up a candle to remember those who were killed during the protests in hands of Policemen.

“Today we mourn those brutally killed by the barrel of the gun. The peaceful protest against high cost of living, unbearable taxes and bad policies were turned violent by overzealous police under the command of their bosses. Light a candle to remember our called countrymen/women”, the statement reads.

This comes days after Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s chief Raila Odinga and co-principals called on today’s Anti-government demonstrations.

Despite, Azimio la Umoja leaders have ruled out a potential handshake with Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government saying their main agenda if force them lower the cost of living among other things.

However in a statement yesterday evening, president William Ruto offered to meet the former premier for a face to face talks hours after he addressed international media at Nairobi highlighting problems that facing kenyans.
