People Dead Following a Tragic Accident

Two people lost their lives while three others sustained injuries following a grisly road accident in Mulot area, along Bomet- Narok highway on Saturday night.

According to Bomet East Sub-county Police commander John Karani, the accident was a self-involving. The driver of a Toyota probox headed towards Bomet from Narok lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, landing in a ditch.

The driver died on the spot while one of the occupants died at Longisa County Referral Hospital. Three others are nursing injuries at Longisa Hospital.

“There were 5 occupants aboard, we are investigating what exactly transpired before the unfortunate incident happened” added the officer.

Following the incident, vehicles plying Narok- Kisii route were held in a heavy traffic that lasted for 3 hours before police restored sanity.

The car wreckage was towed to Longisa police station.
