I am Not in Kenya Kwanza- Governor Natembeya Denies.

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, has denied claims that he joined the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

He made this clear during a fundraising event for ACK church in Kitale while responding to Bungoma women MP Catherine Wambilianga.

Governor Natembeya stated that he belongs to the Azimio coalition, which supported him ascent to leadership position.

He explained that he is currently working with the government to bring about development and that President Ruto has not advised him to join Kenya Kwanza.

Wambilianga had praised Natembeya for joining the Kenya Kwanza coalition, but the governor expressed his concern about how the people who voted for him under Azimio would feel if he switched to Kenya Kwanza.

Earlier this year, Governor Natembeya visited President William Ruto, and they agreed to work together, which made some people think he was joining the president’s party.

However, during the fundraising event, the governor expressed his frustration because some people were hindering his efforts to acquire land and expand the town.

He clarified that he had agreed to donate sh.50 million, not sh.900M as some claimed, to get substitute land for Kitale prison.

Governor Natembeya questioned the motives of those trying to ruin the president’s reputation and shared his remarks in the presence of Moses Wetangula, the National Assembly Speaker, who led more than 15 MPs and other leaders in the fundraising event.
