COURT POSTPONE RULING OF RUTO’S 50 CAS

High Court has abruptly postponed the delivery of judgement on the case against President William Ruto’s 50 CASs which was scheduled to take place today at Milimani Law Courts at exactly 9am.

According to the details shared by the Judiciary, the High Court has moved the judgement to 2pm when the fate of the 50 CAS will be known.

According earlier information shared, the judges who are set to rule on the legality and the constitutionalism of the created offices by the head of state President William Ruto in a case between Eliud Matindi versus State Law and Office of Budget and 2 others include High Court Judges Justice Kanyi Kimondo, Justice Visram Aleem Alnashir and Justice Hedwig Ongudi.

“The judgement regarding CASs matter will be delivered at 2:30pm and not 9am as earlier announced. Apologies for any inconvenience.” Judiciary shared.

The creation of extra offices by President William Ruto was criticized by the opposition as a means to reward his political friends at a time when the country was in financial crisis. Some of the CASs include Evans Kidero, Millicent Omanga, Isaac Mwaura, Dennis Itumbi among others.
