REGISTRAR ANNE NDERITU RESIGNS.

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga has called for the resignation of Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu.

Raila and his Azimio la Umoja brigade have accused Nderitu of bias and alleged her involvement in partisan activities against the principles of multi-party democracy.

In a joint statement, the leaders expressed their concern over Nderitu’s alleged co-option into schemes aimed at destabilising political parties, particularly the Jubilee Party.

They asserted that Nderitu’s actions do not align with her duty to protect and support political parties.

According to Raila Odinga, the Registrar of Political Parties no longer enjoys the confidence of her clients, and the political parties and therefore should step down from her position.

The leaders further claimed that destabilising the Jubilee Party is a deliberate agenda sponsored by the highest levels of the Kenya Kwanza leadership.

They asserted that the aim of this agenda is to secure a supermajority in parliament for Kenya Kwanza and ultimately amend the constitution.

Addressing the stalled bipartisan talks, the Azimio leaders endorsed the decision made by their team to suspend the negotiations.

They stated that they will consider the talks collapsed if no substantial progress is made within the next seven days.

The leaders emphasized that Kenya Kwanza must address the interim issues raised by their delegation before they can resume the negotiations.

Looking ahead, the Azimio la Umoja party announced that they would communicate their next course of action during a Parliamentary Group meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 30.

It remains to be seen what steps they will take to address the concerns they have raised and how this situation will unfold in the coming days.
