BYE: CITIZEN TV MAKES MAJOR CHANGES.

Citizen TV, Kenya has shaken up its prime time slot that will see top senior anchors Yvonne Okwara Matole and Sam Gituku take up new roles following the departure from Waihiga Mwaura who was until his departure to the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) was hosting a popular show called News Night.

In the new changes, Yvonne Okwara -who is currently hosting the Tonight Show every Thursday at 9PM- will be hosting The Explainer with Yvonne Okwara every Tuesday at 9PM.

Replacing her is Sam Gituku will now live on Thursday with a new show called Tonight with Sam Gituku. Currently, Gituku hosts DayBreak every Monday and Tuesday.

According to Linus Kaikai, the Royal Media Services Editorial Director Linus the changes comes as the company is trying to offer more than just regular news adding that they are responding to the consumer needs.
