Barclays is closing another 15 bank branches this year in another blow for the UK high street.

The latest list of closures comes on top of the 69 branches that had already been earmarked to shut.

It means Barclays will now shut at least 84 banks in 2023.

Barclays customers who are worried about their branch closing do have some options if they need face-to-face support.

The bank currently has 200 pop-up sites and has announced plans to increase this number by another 70.

Barclays is also opening new “banking pods” which are semi-permanent sites that can be moved to different towns and locations based on demand.

It currently has ten of these “banking pods”.

The bank also runs an educational and support van service for people who need financial advice on topics such as saving for a home or setting up a business.
