RUTO SHUTS DOWN 2 POWERFUL MEDIA HOUSES

President William Samoei Arap Ruto has finally announced the dissolution of one hundred and nine (109) companies in the Republic with reports emerging that two giant media houses- A24 Media Limited and Luft Media Productions have been affected.

In a message sent to the news rooms and seen by the Kenyans. co. ke, the Kenya Kwanza administration

noted that the dissolution of the companies was to take effect from the date of publication. This according to the message sent by the Registrar of Companies, Joyce Koech is part of President William Samoei Arap Ruto’ s plan to dissolve all non- profitable State owned Corporations.

A24 Media which was founded by the legendary photographer Mohammed Amin and has its headquarters at the Multimedia University of Kenya was among the companies that did not escape Dr Ruto’ s first wrath. The media house specialised in the production of documentaries and other features.

The Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration implemented the Companies Act section 894 which fully gives the registered exclusive Powers to deregister companies that have not been in business or operation over time.

The act Empowers the Registrar to send a letter to the company inquiring whether the company is carrying on business or is in operation if he or she believes that a company is not carrying on business or is not in operation.
