POLE SANA SAKAJA

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has rubbished reports that he is eyeing the Council of Governors (CoG) Chair seat.

Taking to social media on Saturday, Sakaja refuted the sentiments as published in a local daily saying he already has his hands full as the county boss and is not seeking any other role.

“Seen reports on my “candidature” for chair of COG. To put the record clear, I am not presenting myself for election as Chair of COG. The task in Nairobi requires 100% dedication and focus,” he wrote on Twitter.

In the said article, Sakaja and his counterparts namely; Ann Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Mutula Kilonzo Jr (Makueni), Ole Lenku (Kajiado) and Ken Lusaka (Bungoma) had been listed as possible contestants to succeed outgoing Embu Governor Martin Wambora as the CoG Chair.

Wambora had taken over from former Kakamega County chief Wycliffe Oparanya.
