SAKAJA NOW SAYS HE STUDIED AT HAVARD UNIVERSITY

The controversy over the academic qualification of Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja, who is eyeing the county’s gubernatorial seat in the August polls, has deepened.

As required by the Constitution, on June 6, Sakaja presented his degree certificate to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for clearance.

The document, seen by TUKO.co.ke indicated he studied at Team University in Uganda where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management on October 21, 2016.

However, a viral video has emerged on social media of the lawmaker insisting that he undertook all his studies in Kenya, which is seemingly in contradiction to his acquiring a degree from Uganda.

He added that he had a chance to join Havard University university but missed the chance due to technical issues.

“I have never studied outside Kenya. After High School, I joined University of Nairobi where I pursued Actuarial Science,” Sakaja told singer Nyashinski during an interview.
