MARTHA KARUA HAS ALREADY SENSED DANGER

Things might not be good ahead for Kenyans, especially women, if the country doesn’t approach the August poll in the best way, Azimio La Umoja presidential running mate Martha Karua has said.

Karua says that she has sensed danger ahead, courtesy of politicians and aspirants out to divide the country and incite Kenyans against each other in a bid to have their preffered results at the ballot.

She says that it is, as a result, the job of women and the remaining Kenyans to shun this kind of politicians if the country is to avoid going through another round of political tension, unrest or chaos.

“There is danger ahead, our country is in danger. This is always the case during election periods because us politicians we have mastered the art of dividing the people during such times,” she has said.

“As women, we have to help avoid such a situation, failure of which it is us and our children who will be left suffering afterwards,” she said in Mombasa on Tuesday, as is reported by Citizen TV.

The leader also advised Kenyans to carefully scrutinize those requesting for their votes and only go for the best, in an apparent reference to herself and her boss; Azimio chief Raila Odinga.

She asked them to only go for people they can trust with their future, urging them to not only make wise decisions at the presidential level but in all the six positions being vied for.

“Let’s take a keen look at all the people and groups seeking leadership. Let’s look for people we can trust, those who can unite the country and those who can represent us in the best way,” she further said.
