PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA ANSWERS WILLIAM RUTO

President Uhuru Kenyatta has reiterated his commitment to ensuring the completion of government projects and leaving a united country before his term comes to an end in August.

Speaking at Kenyatta market in Nairobi on Wednesday, President Kenyatta told off critics from Deputy President William Ruto’s camp over their continued attacks on the government.

He pointed out that their mockery on his pact with ODM leader Raila Odinga in the famous 2018 Handshake would not hinder him from accomplishing his projects and keeping the country united.

“No amount of abusive language will deter me from working to ensure the country is peaceful and united under the spirit of the handshake,” President Kenyatta said.

DP Ruto’s camp has been chastising the government over stalled projects, claiming the handshake derailed the government from accomplishing the Big 4 agenda.

At the same time, the head of state inspected the facility as he mingled with residents and traders at the busy market.

The Commander in Chief also shared a light moment with the locals at the popular eatery where he enjoyed a meal of nyama choma.

The market is set to receive a major facelift to provide traders with improved workspaces and enable customers to enjoy better services.

The president promised traders more upgrades including lighting to make the market a 24-hour business premises.

The president said he was a man of his word and would keep his word on promises made to the traders and added that he was keen on ensuring the lives of all Kenyans improved.

The impromptu visit caught many of the traders unawares.
