KENYANS REACT AS COURT DETERMINES IF RUTO IS ELIGIBLE TO VIE FOR PRESIDENT

Deputy President William Ruto is waiting for court ruling to know if he is eligible to vie for Presidency.

This is after Okiya Omtata filed a case in court saying that Ruto should resign 6 months before elections if he wants to vie for Presidency.

He said Ruto should not be exempted from the rule that requires other state officers to resign if they are interested in political office.

If the law is followed strictly, none of the guys currently running qualify to run for the top office.
