KISS FM SADLY LOSES JALANG’O

Entertainer Felix Odiwour, alias Jalang’o, has announced his resignation from his radio job to pursue his political ambitions.

Jalang’o while announcing his exit from the Kiss FM morning show in an Instagram video shared on Wednesday told fans that he felt the conviction to further his political ambitions.

“After being told over time that the young peoples’ time is coming, we are not young anymore, if we waited any longer the time we are told will have passed,” said the comedian-cum-event host.

Clad in a black t-shirt with the words ‘Dream Big’ plastered across his chest, Jalang’o said the quest for an elective post has been a life-long dream.

“This is a clarion call for me to go and try my hand at a different profession and murky waters for myself,” he said, “it is something that I have just dreamt of, being in leadership to make a difference in people’s lives.”

He further vowed to be an exemplary leader who will redeem the oft-negative public image of the political profession.

“It is a dream that I am going for to try and be different and show people that good leaders are still there,” said Jalang’o.

Jalang’o announced earlier this year that he will vie for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat under the Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket.

He has also said that he will go back to his radio career in the event that his political bid flops.

The comedian will be facing incumbent MP Nixon Korir, Siaya CEC member Jaoko Oburu Odinga, and city lawyer Silas Jakakimba, among others.
