The rate of unemployment in Kenya is very alarming. Nearly every Kenyan right now knows someone or two who is unemployed. Unemployment in Kenya is not necessarily caused by one’s own will.

It’s never predetermined because every parent who takes their child to school has a positive expectations that they will be successful and have a better life than the one they grew up around.

The government will deploy additional 3000 tutors to technical training institutions in a bud to enhance delivery of industrial skills.

Technical and Vocational Education Training Principal Secretary Dr Margaret Mwakima said that the department received approval from public Service Commission to hire extra trainers to curb the deficit facing the centres.

She added that the move to deploy more tutors in the Tvet institutions is expected to easy the shortage being experienced and hence boost delivery of requisite skills.

She said that increasing the teaching staff at the colleges will also inspire the implementation from the PSC as it will enable us increase trainers based in the technical institutes.
