VIDEO: DRAMA AS MOBILE LOAN AGENTS BADLY ABUSES A PASTOR.

The cases of borrowers sinking into deep debt as they ravenously take up loans for personal consumption are widespread.

There are around 10.2 million mobile loan borrowers, with an average of 9 mobile loans each.

Mobile loans make up 75% of loan accounts offered by the banking sector.

More than half a million digital borrowers have been blacklisted by credit reference bureaus (CRBs), and the number keeps growing as more digital lending platforms enter the East African region.

Now according to Citizen TV, a pastor who has referred to himself as John Kimani Ngure has revealed how he has been threatened by a mobile lending company after one of his congregats failed to pay a loan.

According to the mobile record shared on citizen TV, the man of God can be heard being threatened as he is told to teach his church members on payment of their loans borrowed.

Pastor Ngure is further told that he Will not have peace whatsoever as he would also be exposed to his church members as the service goes on.

As pastor Ngure’s wife tries to help him, she is also threatened and told her off with abuses.

Ngure who is said to be a referee of the loan defaulter, has been threatened for over a week and has been told that he will not be able to use his phone until his church member pays the loan.

This has elicted mixed reactions on social media among Kenyans as been below.
