CAROLINE KANGOGO’S FAMILY DOES THE UNTHINKABLE TO THE VICTIM’S RELATIVES.

The family of Police Corporal Caroline Kangogo has begun making amends to those of the two victims she is believed to have killed.

Speaking to the press on Saturday, July 18, a family spokesperson noted that Kangogo’s kin expressed their remorse to the other two and asked for forgiveness.

He noted that the tragedy had already occurred and it’s in the best interest of the families involved to move on.

“We are just making the burial plans now because the tragedy has already occurred and we do not have any otherwise (sic). We as a family have accepted the outcome and we have met.

“We are still saying sorry to the families that lost their kin. For now, we are just saying sorry as a family because we also understand they also lost their relatives,” explained Robert Kipkorir, the spokesman.

He further noted that Kangogo’s father is yet to recover from the trauma of the events leading up to her death.

The family, however, declined to comment on the suicide notes allegedly left behind by the departed policewoman noting that they were not privy to claims that she was owed millions.

“I cannot confirm that they had fallen out (Kangogo and her husband). Caro had not confided in us that there was some money involved.

“We have left the matter. We could have known the truth would (sic) she have stayed alive,” he added according to NTV.

In the alleged suicide note, Kangogo had requested to be buried in her wedding dress and had preferred cremation but her family maintained that her burial would observe edicts of the Christian faith.

The fugitive is believed to have shot herself dead at her parents’ home in Nyawa village Elgeyo Marakwet.

“The reports we are getting from our officers in Keiyo is that Caroline came home at around 5 am in the morning. She, however, did not get inside the house and at around 7 am, she got into the bathroom and killed herself,” Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya stated.

Prior to her death, she allegedly contacted one of the victim’s wives on multiple occasions, the most recent being three days before he was found murdered.

The late Constable John Ogweno’s wife, Juliet Ogweno, narrated that Kagongo had wanted her to bring their children to Nakuru from Homa Bay County to see their father.

Mrs Ogweno disclosed that Kagongo had assured her that her husband would attend the children’s graduation which was slated for Saturday, July 9.

The first victim, Constable John Ogweno, was found dead inside a car at Kasarani police station, Nakuru County.

Kangogo then lured another man to Dedamax Hotel in Kimbo, Juja at around 4 pm on Tuesday, July 6, where she reportedly shot him dead.
