POPULAR TV PRESENTER DIES

Popular tv presenter from Kameme TV has died. A sign language interpreter, presenter, and producer Josephine Mwihaki passed away on Monday, June 28.

The Mediamax Limited station issued a statement on the death of their employee, eulogizing her as being dedicated and loved by colleagues.

Mwihaki, 41, was reported to have passed on following a short illness. The presenter was rushed to hospital a fortnight ago and was reported to have suffered from high blood pressure.

She was discharged and allowed to continue with her medication at home.

However, the situation reportedly worsened on Sunday evening, June 27 and she was rushed back to the hospital for further checkups. Mwihaki was said to have complained of severe headaches.

She was reported to have passed on a few hours later. The presenter also worked for K24 TV, Kameme TV’s sister company.

“Kameme TV sends condolences to her family. We loved you. May God rest you in eternal peace,” the TV station announced.

Her friends, colleagues, and followers also eulogized her.

“Death is so cruel. It has taken you from us when we had so many plans. You were so kind and generous and a great friend.

“We will miss you. I will remain to remember how you supported us in the interpretation of Kenya sign language in Baringo, Nakuru, Mt. Elgon, Maseno, Oyugis, Siaya, Meru. This one has hit me hard my dear friend,” one of her friends, Wachianga Wachianga eulogized.

Essie Essy, her kin added that “This was the last thing I ever expected to hear. Yesterday (Sunday) we spoke and you inquired about your nephew. You gave me hope that healing was his portion. Little did I know some few minutes, less than an hour you would leave. Rest in peace.”

Mwihaki leaves behind her children and husband. The deceased was born in 1980.
