RAILA’S CLOSE ALLY TEST POSITIVE FOR CORONA VIRUS DAYS AFTER RECEIVING VACCINE.

Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has tested positive for Covid-19 days after being vaccinated against the virus. The former county chief confirmed he tested positive on Wednesday morning through his Face book account. He had been vaccinated on Monday last week at Gertrude Children’s Hospital in Nairobi.

After the vaccination last week, Kidero who has declared his interest in the Homa Bay gubernatorial seat in 2022, said he got symptoms related to Covid-19.

“I got vaccinated against Covid-19 last Monday (29/03/2021) which was followed by Covid-19 like reaction three days later,” he wrote on his social media account.

Kidero and his family went for a test on Tuesday. But the results which were delivered on Wednesday showed that he was the only one infected with the virus. Kidero said he is going into isolation for the next two weeks. Kidero is among people other people who want to succeed Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti in 2022.

He is expected to compete with Deputy Governor Hamilton Orata, former Kasipul MP Oyugi Magwanga, woman representative Gladys Wanga, Businessman Jared Kiasa, county secretary Isaiah Ogwe, Finance executive Nicholas K’Oriko, Businessman Louis Ogingo and Kuppet secretary-general Akelo Misori.
