VIDEO: MAN IN TEARS AFTER STORMING RUTO’S PODIUM.

Deputy President William Ruto’s trip to the coastal region had its moments, away from the political topics the leaders chose to address.

During a rally a Jomvu stadium, a Mombasa man managed to get through the DP’s security and other leaders present to greet Ruto.

The man appeared harmless as the security let him have a chat with the DP who appeared more than happy to engage in banter with him.

Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar was addressing the crowd when the man got his moment with the DP.

Hustler amemfikia hustler mwenzake (The hustler on the ground has reach his fellow hustler (Referring to DP Ruto)” he commented.

The youth simply dressed in shorts and vest was overwhelmed with emotions as he burst out in tears of gratitude.

Following the interaction that lasted barely a minute, the man walked off the podium, covering his face and seemingly fighting tears.

There was plenty of dramatics, throughout the stopovers mad by the DP during the day.

At one stop, he choose to have a common stret meal reffered to as mayai pasua from a lady vendor.

The crowd followed him to the stall and shouted ‘Hustler’ as the vendor tried to serve her VIP customer amidst pushing by those around her.

The DP maintained that the message behind the movement was economical empowerment  for all.

“For a long time we have been using trickle-down economics; we will have to abandon it for bottom up economics … sio lazima kuwe na maskini ndio kuwe na tajiri. (It is not true that one has to be poor to become rich)” he noted.

Ruto presented buses to Immaculate Ndavaya Boys School and Mackinnon Girls School where he took to show his driving skills by commandeering one of the vehicles for a short drive.
