A member of the Country Assembly (Homabay) has become the talk of the area, especially in his constituency Karachuonyo. Jeff Ongoro alias Sirkal who was elected on ODM after a hotly contested election in 2017 is proving to the residents of Kanyaluo ward that good leadership can bring changes that otherwise would remain a dream.

Considering the state at which his predecessors had left the ward, Jeff assumed the office with a lot of tasks ahead of him to perform, first, it was to unite his constituents who had battled political differences and intolerance for so many years from the previous leaderships, and he was to ensure equal distribution of resources in the ward, equal job opportunities and equal disbursement of bursary funds to needy students.

Since his day one in the office Jeff, has never cared about what his opponents and distractors have to say about his leadership he has been working on his manifesto and the strategies he designed together with his able team seems to be bearing fruits considering the development projects he has initiated and completed within the area.

In his manifesto, Jeff had promised to ensure accessibility to health facilities to all.Supply of clean water to every household and government institutions.

Ensuring that all children get educated, expansion and maintenance of roads to improve trade and movement within the area, and Caring for the elderly.

Within the three years of his leadership, Jeff has full filled the promise on health sector by constructing new and improving health facilities; Oyombe health center which its location favors even members from a neighboring constituency is on its final touches

Oyombe is an area that had been abandoned for many years despite being an area that has produced educated and respected people.

The second health facility built by the Hon is the Kichawa health center in East Kanyaluo location, this has come as a relief to the residents of this area who for many years had to travel miles for medication, and he has also renovated the existing health facilities; Omboga and Adiedo.

Jeff has also built and renovated several markets within his ward.

Jeff however insists that he will be going for the second term in 2022 to fulfill all the promises he had given to his people and that he wants to set the bar a bit higher for the MCAs who will be succeeding him.
