DETAILED PLANS OF HOW DP RUTO WILL ARREST UHURU’S RELATIVES AND MINISTERS.

Ruto campaign team is currently working on his manifesto ahead of next year’s presidential elections. Going with the current mood among DP’s election handlers, the second in command is leaving nothing to chance as he works on modalities to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta, a race in which he is the front runner.

Ruto campaign strategy under Hustler Nation has caused jitters both at State House and ODM’s camp further accelerating his fallout with Uhuru.

In the plan that is being incorporated in the deputy president’s manifesto for 2022 elections being worked out by local and foreign experts, Ruto in the first 100 days on assuming the presidency will aggressively embark on fighting corruption as he seeks to remove the tag pinned on him by his adversaries as the high priest of graft.

The move will further earn him confidence among the hustlers who believe certain families and individuals are untouchable. Within the corridors of power, political and other high social circles, Ruto presidency is feared as he is seen as likely to upend the tables of the elite who have allegedly fattened themselves on the sweat of the poor for over half a century now.

In fact talk is that Ruto’s camp has compiled the list of those to be dealt with, especially the majority of those opposed to his presidential bid.

The war on corruption will be used to send a message to all government officials that Ruto will not tolerate the practice. It is aimed at further endearing himself to the international community as a man who was just linked to graft but is actually the best to tackle it when in power.

He will also use it to further win over the voters, including those who will have voted for other candidates by demonstrating serious commitment to fight the scourge that has derailed development. The war on corruption has been a stillbirth since Mwai Kibaki swept into power telling Kenyans at his swearing-in in 2002 that “corruption will no longer be a way of life”. Come Uhuru in 2013 and the evil still flourishes.

The war will also help Ruto to vanquish the dynasties – the Kenyattas, Mois and Odingas – to ensure they do not regroup and use the vast resources at their disposal to undermine him.

Fighting graft by targeting the mighty in the Uhuru government will also help in fighting tribalism as he will have united the less privileged against the privileged. The poor blame their woes on corrupt governance that has seen public hospitals without drugs, unequipped schools, poor roads and nonexistent services in government offices.

But opponents against Ruto campaign strategy say, it is counter-productive and likely to lead to class conflicts. In a class conflict, only the haves would lose as the have-nots have nothing to lose in the first place.

According to those drafting the manifesto, Ruto will embark on completing development programmes initiated by the Jubilee government but which have stalled for various reasons. He will argue, they had agreed to carry on with Jubilee development agenda after Uhuru’s 10 years in power and him taking over but the plot was scuttled by the handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

These include giving primary pupils laptops, building stadiums across the country and reviving stalled irrigation projects, among others.

But it is the bit touching on his fight against corruption that has caused alarm since it could see Uhuru’s family members, their close business associates, cabinet and principal secretaries together with governors, paraded in courts and eventually jailed. Nothing would make some Kenyans happier than seeing sacred cows dragged to the slaughter.

In the plan, Ruto upon taking the oath of office will form a judicial commission similar to the Goldenberg Commission of Inquiry formed by Kibaki in 2003, to probe multibillion shillings scandals dogging the Uhuru administration.

The commission, according to the manifesto, will have clear timelines to probe the scandals and ensure swift prosecution of the perpetrators, most of who are today untouchables.

Nana Gecaga

Top on the list of the scandals to be probed and perpetrators prosecuted are those executed, directly or indirectly by members of the current first family, powerful Kikuyu tycoons surrounding the current presidency and top state officials.

Among those that could find themselves in court include the president’s sister Nyokabi Kenyatta Muthama and cousin Kathleen Kihanya and niece – current director Kenyatta International Convention Centre Nana Gechaga.

The two, once indicted by the commission, will answer to the charges of stealing Sh5.3 billion in the infamous Health Gate or “Mafya House” scam executed in Uhuru’s first term in office.

Nyokabi Kenyatta

Nyokabi and Kihanya are directors of a company, Sundales International Limited that was allegedly used to steal Sh41 million.

The company was registered on September 12 2013, which was five months after Uhuru’s election for the first term.

Sundales was also irregularly awarded tenders at the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority worth Sh270 million. The alleged involvement of the Kenyattas in vying for public has led some Kenyans to wonder if the Kenyattas are as fabulously wealthy as is presumed when its members are going for “children’s food” or if it is just insatiable greed?

Insiders within the Hustler secretariat add that Ruto also plans to place Uhuru’s younger brother, Muhoho, on the dock over alleged importation of toxic sugar. Here, the DP will rely on the evidence to be tabled in the JC by Aldai MP Cornelius Serem.

It is to be recalled that Serem was the first to link Muhoho’s company, Protech Investment Limited as having imported about 180,000 metric tonnes of brown sugar into the country irregularly.

Insiders added that other Kenyatta family members Ruto plans to have questioned include Gatheca Muhoho, son of Uhuru’s uncle and brother of Mama Ngina.

The young man will appear in the dock if evidence is tabled in the commission of how he was paid millions of shillings in the 2016 National Youth Service corruption scandal which saw taxpayers lose Sh1.9 billion.

Gatheca’s company, PetroKenya Oil Company Limited, which he co-owns with former Youth Fund chairman Gor Semelang’o, was paid Sh68 million for supplying diesel to NYS.

The initial tender to supply the fuel was awarded to Horizon Limited, owned by the infamous suspect in NYS one – Ben Gethi who later sub-contracted PetroKenya Oil Company to do the supply work.

Also likely to go to the dock if evidence is tabled is Kristina Pratt, Uhuru’s eldest sister.

According to sources, Ruto’s strategists are compiling evidence on how Pratt has been using proxies to do business with the Nairobi county and other government agencies.

Her case was first brought to the public limelight by former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko who claimed she contacted him prior to his impeachment seeking his favour of appointment of Jane Weru as Nairobi deputy governor so that her companies would get payments at the county.

Here, the deputy president will rely on the evidence to be tabled by Sonko before the JC implicating Pratt to the ills, including supplying goods like bricks to Nairobi county at exorbitant prices.

Dr Fred Matiangi

The source within the manifesto team also told us, Ruto’s broom will sweep powerful cabinet secretaries led by Infrastructure’s James Macharia and Interior’s Fred Matiang’i and Interior PS Karanja Kibicho over corruption.

For Macharia, the deputy president will rely on the evidence to be tabled before the commission by Nyali MP Mohammed Ali.

This evidence the Nyali MP mid last year tried to table in his bid to impeach Macharia at the national assembly but Macharia allegedly compromised MPs including the ordinarily noisy Coast MPs who are now considered traitors on the ground.

The MP had attempted to kick out the CS over his directive that all cargo imported through Mombasa be hauled via standard gauge railway to the Naivasha Inland Container Depot. The Naivasha facility is said to be on Kenyatta family land. Indeed, in the 2017 presidential debate that Uhuru snubbed, Raila said that the SGR would terminate at Kenyatta’s land in Naivasha.

Ali had leveled five allegations against the CS which included involvement in megagraft scandals during his time at the ministry of Health.
