General Badi to kick Matatus out of Nairobi CBD

The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has embarked on an ambitious plan to decongest the city. As from November 2020, Matatus will not be allowed to access CBD.

NMS Director General Mohammed Badi speaking to National Assembly Committee on Administration and National Security, said that plans are underway to decongest the city and that the final plan will be unveiled by President Uhuru Kenyatta in November this year.

All matatus coming from Thika will be required to offload passengers at the constructed bus stations in Ngara and Parklands. Matatus coming from Machakos and Lang’ata will have a stage at the Railway Golf Club
