RAILA MOURNS THE DEATH OF LADY MAUREEN

Earlier today, Raila Odinga has send condolences to the family of Lady Maureen following the passing on of the Ohangla star. In his official Facebook page, Raila posted, “My condolences go out to the family, friends and fans of Lady Maureen. Achieng’ was immensely talented and very dynamic; always adapting to new trends in a very competitive music industry. May she Rest In Eternal Peace.”

Raila had come under attack for failing to help the ailing musician. The music star had composed songs praising the former premier and a score of other ODM leaders. Controversial blogger Robert Alai was the first person to confirm the passing on of Lady Maureen. Robert Alai in his official Facebook page posted, “Ohangla musician Maureen Achieng’ popularly known as #LadyMaureen passes on in Migori County after a long illness – family RIPLadyMaureen”

Akothee was the only celebrity who publicly helped Lady Maureen when she was sick and allegedly neglected by her family. She paid her hospital bills as well as building her a house in Migori County. Challyh News could not contact Akothee for her comment about this sad news.
