DEADLY DISEASE THAT KILLED FAMOUS MP REVEALED.

Just a few minutes past 10 p.m on Monday 22nd February, Kenyans received the devastating news that Juja MP Francis Waititu aka Wakapee was no more.

“It with deep sorrow that we announce the Passing on of our Loving Dad Francis Waititu. May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace and may God grant him the divine grace,”said the statement by his family.

The sad news was shared by various leaders and close family members online sending shockwaves across the social media. The MP Died at MP Shah Hospital where he has been receiving treatment for some time.

Reports have revealed that he has been fighting a long battle with Brain cancer.

Fellow MPs took to social media to pass their condolences after news of his demise broke.

Waititu previously worked for the Kenyatta family in their farming ventures around Ruiru town before venturing into politics.

Waititu was a member of the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock in the National Assembly.

First elected on a The National Alliance (TNA) ticket in 2013, he was surprisingly re-elected on a Jubilee ticket in 2017 despite having spent many months undergoing medical care in India.

Leaders from across the political divide took to Twitter to express their condolences.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said:“My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and people of Juja constituency following the death of Hon Francis Munyua Waititu aka Wakapee. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Kitui West MP Edith Nyenze said:“My deepest condolences to the family, friends and constituents of Juja constituency following the passing-on of Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu. May God give you fortitude to bear this great loss.”

“It is with great sadness that I have learnt of the passing of my colleague, Juja Member of Parliament Hon Francis Waititu ‘Wakapee’. My thoughts tonight go out to his family and the people of Juja. Rest in Peace Mheshimiwa”,Ester Passaris wrote.

“We haven’t even laid to rest Oroo Oyioka, then Juja MP Francis Waititu goes to be with his maker. It’s just last week we buried Sen Haji. I send my condolences to Waititu’s family and friends. We’ve been really hit hard in 12th parliament. On behalf of PSC, I say pole sana”,Hon.Ben Momanyi wrote.

“We’ve sadly lost a very progressive, trusted and committed leader whose public actions always reflected the interests of his constituents.

“It is because of the trust and love that the people of Juja had for Hon Waititu that they entrusted him with a second term in a very competitive election despite his illness,” President Uhuru mourned.
