Premier League Returns

On Monday, March 9, Leicester City defeated Aston Villa 4-0 in what seemed as the final match of the 2019-20 Premier League season because of COVID-19. Since then fixtures have been postponed as a precautionary measure due to the coronavirus outbreak.

A meeting between all Premier League clubs took place today and it is reported that a decision has been made to restart the 2019/20 campaign on June 17.

Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal will be first two games. The two matches are the games in hand that will take all the 20 clubs up to 29 matches.

Another Premier League game may be also played on Friday, June 19 but the full round of fixtures will start on Saturday, June 20, with all games scattered across the weekend.
