“The police should produce Advocate Abshir Ahmedsadak Abdi without any further delay. We are not interested in explanations because they either have him or ought to know where he is,” Havi stated.
Abdi reportedly went missing on November 1, 2026, after armed individuals allegedly intercepted him along Muchai Road, off Ngong Road, in Nairobi’s Kilimani area. His vehicle was later found abandoned nearby.
The Law Society of Kenya has also called for urgent investigations. Abdi’s family has moved to the Milimani High Court through a habeas corpus application.
They want security agencies compelled to produce him before court and disclose his whereabouts, together with any legal authority for his detention.
The family says his disappearance could be connected to a criminal case at the Makadara Law Courts in which he is reportedly a key witness.
The claims are contained in court papers and remain subject to investigation.
The circumstances of his disappearance and the identity of those responsible have yet to be established. The developments have placed scrutiny on the response of security agencies involved.
