Doctors who examined the body of 86-year-old Dorita Lasinder Macharia have disclosed the serious injuries that led to her death at her home in Nairobi's Loresho estate.
Dr Midia also revealed that the examination showed additional cuts on different parts of the elderly woman's body, indicating that she had suffered multiple injuries before her death.
Dorita, who was the mother of actress Regina Wambui Gitao, popularly known as Regina Re, died on Friday evening, October 30, 2026.
Her death prompted police investigations, leading to the arrest of four people. They include her daughter Regina, granddaughter Thandie Malaika Gitao, and sons Alton Jimmy Macharia and Immanuel Munyeki.
The four appeared before the Kibera Law Courts on November 2 as prosecutors sought more time to investigate the killing.
Investigations are ongoing as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding Dorita's death. The suspects have not been convicted.
